Lodge is looking for skilled players to fill following projects slots in our guild:

PvE Raid Core - we successfully filled existing gaps within our Core and are recruiting to complement it with additional "reserves". We looking forward to 2x DDs, 1x Healer, 1x Tank. Read more here for requirements and follow the instructions to join!

PvP Core - Please welcome @HawksHeart as our new PvP General. From this point on, we are looking forward to 1 more PvP General and skilled players to fill our PvP Core.

Roleplaying - Although we managed to recruit half a dozen RP enthusiasts to our RP Initiative, we still have RP Officer position open. If you are an avid RP player with extensive experience in RPing, please join us now! Additional slots for RP players are also available!

Social Players - currently recruiting towards our Social recruitment slots - invitation only by interview. Please contact me in-game (@Glevissig) for it.

Forum Emoticons modernized

Recommended Posts

Initially with help of @Smepic, and later with my own research, I found out that the emojis and emoticons we use in various mobile environments are actually something like a standard - across all vendors (Google, Samsung, Apple, Twitter, Facebook etc) the same set of emotes exist. So I dug a bit deeper, and brought all those vendor specific emoticons to our forums. When posting, you can press emote icon on editor toolbar - the list of emotes will appear. Of course having multiple emoticon vendors and 291 emotes for each vendor, it'd be impossible to list all of them. So you have to search for them. with words like "kiss", "smil" (to get "smiling" and "smile") etc.

As for the moment, you will see the default set of emoticons to remain as it is, thus typing ": )" will result in :)

I will change this default set to something else, some much unique and beautiful set. For that, please standby. Otherwise, please enjoy our vendor emote-sets! :samsung-thumbsup:

For nerds and those who wonder: the list of emojis can be found at https://emoji.codes/family

32x32 - Making them smaller made them lose more detail, so I chose not to reduce their dimensions further. Plus, our forums automatically align text and images, so no visual distortion happens anyway...

I guess I can manually edit the size :apple-smiley_cat:

I wouldn't do that - most probably your emotes will be damaged on next major-version upgrade of forums.

How so? By manually edit, I mean ctrl plus right clicking the emote.

Emotes are handled differently than regular images. because alpha-code-2-emote pairing can change in system.

Then we shall see. I don't use emotes that often, so it's not a big deal if they disappear.
